Carrie Brumfield is a Nashville native with more than a decade of experience leading and developing community programs in Middle Tennessee. She formerly served as director of programs at the Transit Alliance of Middle Tennessee where she worked with regional leaders to build support for funding a regional transit in Middle Tennessee and led the development of the Transit Citizen Leadership Academies. Prior to that, she served within the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Community Action Team, where she provided management of the Chamber’s local and state legislative activity, programs and initiatives. She returned to the Chamber in July 2016 and serves as manager of business growth initiatives, where she leads continued development and deployment of the Small Business Administration-funded ScaleUp Nashville.
Since joining the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce in 2008, Chris Cotton helped launch the Chamber’s Research Center, an economic, community and workforce development think tank. Currently, Cotton serves as the Chamber’s director of business growth initiatives, where he is focused on improving the small business ecosystem in Nashville through programs such as Business Studio and ScaleUp Nashville.
